报告1题目: Bilingual Dictionary Induction for Low-Resourced Languages

报告人简介: Yohei Murakami is an associate professor of Unit of Design, Center for the Promotion of Interdisciplinary Education and Research, Kyoto University, Japan. He currently leads the research and development of the Language Grid, the purpose of which is to share various language resources as Web services and enable users to create new services. He received the Achievement Award of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers for this work in 2013. His research interests lie in services computing and multiagent systems. He founded the Technical Committee on Services Computing in the Institute of Electronics, information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) in 2012. He received his Ph.D. degree in informatics from Kyoto University in 2006.

报告人简介: Donghui Lin holds a Ph.D. in Informatics from Department of Social Informatics of Kyoto University, Japan, and a M.E. degree from Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He was a researcher of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan during 2008 to 2011. Currently he is an assistant professor in Department of Social Informatics, Kyoto University. His research interests include services computing, intercultural collaboration, artificial intelligence, and services science.

报告1题目: Interdisciplinary Education for Design Innovation

报告人简介: Toru Ishida has been a professor of Kyoto University since 1993. His research interest lies with autonomous agents and multiagent systems, and he has been working on this theme for more than twenty years. He has been working on action researches including Digital City Kyoto, Intercultural Collaboration Experiments, and Language Grid. He started a project on Digital City Kyoto in 1988. The portal site was opened until 2001. He initiated an Intercultural Collaboration Experiments (ICE) with Chinese, Korean, Malaysian colleagues in 2002, a year after 9.11. In 2006, He began a project to create a language service infrastructure on the Internet. Since 2007, the Language Grid has been operated by Department of Social Informatics, Kyoto University. So far, 170 groups from 22 countries join the Language Grid to share more than 220 language services. He created Kyoto University Design School with his colleagues in Informatics, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Management and Psychology. The school started in April 2013.
