报告简介:
In this talk, we present an overview of scaling law research from the angle
of space and temporal perspective, which could generalize a large class of
research literature in the field. Specifically, it covers capacity,
connectivity, coverage and topology control etc. In addition, we also
introduce our results on MotionCast, which studies the capacity delay trade
off for mobile multicast.
In the end, we point out some future directions.

王新兵:上海交通大学教授/责任教授,博士生导师。中国计算机学会青年科学家奖2012,IEEE通信学会亚太区杰出青年研究奖(IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2009),IEEE通信学会杰出服务奖(IEEE ComSoc Outstanding Service Award 2010),第12届霍英东基金获得者(2010),上海市浦江人才(2008),中国计算机协会YOCSEF上海分会首届IT新锐(2009)。一直从事大规模无线网络性能分析的研究,针对随机无线网络,提出"移动多播",解决了最优多播容量的问题,并研究了网络的连接性、覆盖性和认知性等一系列问题,揭示了大规模无线网络的时间、空间和频率关系。近五年,在IEEE Transactions发表/录用30余篇,国际会议ACM MobiCom 3篇、ACM MobiHoc 3篇、 IEEE INFOCOM 15篇;SCI他引103次。上海市技术发明二等奖(第一完成人)。
