报告简介:
Smart home is usually described as a collective term for information and communication technology (ICT) in homes where components communicate through a local network. A smart home is expected to "listen" to you, "talk" to you, protect you and your investment, and adjust itself to your lifestyle. The smart home technologies have been derived from the concept of home automation, which makes use of: sensors to collect data regarding the state of the home environment and the activities of any living being inside; controllers to analyze collected data and decide on actions; actuators to produce actions, operate home devices, generate consumable services; and network communication systems to integrate devices, components and exchange information with external units/systems. This seminar will briefly review the stat-of-the-art of smart home technologies, presents some first-hand experience in developing smart home technologies to support independent living and home energy management. It will also discuss smart home technology market, practical issues, future trends, R&D opportunities and challenges.
