应罗军舟教授邀请,ACM/IEEE Fellow、北京大学邓小铁教授将于328日访问东南大学计算机学院、软件学院、人工智能学院并作学术报告。

报告题目Data Science Challenges to Game Theory Methodology

报告摘要

Game Theory Methodology and the applications to Economics and Social Sciences have recently been much enriched because of the rise of Internet and the huge number of people and huge amount of related data it has brought to us. In this work we discuss some of the challenges and new directions in this new frontier of interactions among human and algorithms, including ways that have changed our fundamental understanding and assumptions about the universe of agents new economic and social systems are going to operate on.

报告人简介

Xiaotie Deng got his BSc from Tsinghua University, MSc from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and PhD from Stanford University in 1989. He is currently a chair professor at Peking University. He taught in the past at Shanghai Jiaotong University, University of Liverpool, City University of Hong Kong, and York University. Before that, he was an NSERC international fellow at Simon Fraser University. Deng's current research focuses on algorithmic game theory, with applications to Internet Economics and Finance. His works cover online algorithms, parallel algorithms, and combinatorial optimization.  He is an ACM fellow for his contribution to the interface of algorithms and game theory, and an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to computing in partial information and interactive environments.

  

邓小铁从清华大学获得工学学士学位,中国科学院硕士学位,斯坦福大学博士。现任北京大学讲席教授。他曾在上海交通大学、英国利物浦大学、香港城市大学和加拿大约克大学任教。此前,他是西门弗雷泽大学的加拿大自然科学与工程技术研究理事会的国际博士后研究员。科研工作长期集中在算法博弈理论,并应用于互联网络经济和金融科技。近期研究工作包括机器学习与博弈论的交互,以及区块链中的共识机制与博弈论分析以及激励原理的应用。他因为对算法和博弈理论的交互研究的贡献获选ACM会士,并因其在非完全信息和交互环境计算的成就获选IEEE会士。他的其它工作涵盖了在线算法、并行算法和组合优化算法,对纳什均衡计算复杂性做出PPAD完全性的刻画,对莫比乌斯环上不动点计算做出PPA完全性的刻画,以及近期的对八面体Tucker问题的PPA完全性刻画。
