  1. Educational Objectives

    The major aims to develop innovative technology-based high-quality talents. It actively explores the multi-standard, multi-level, personalized training model for personnel classification. It takes innovative education, quality education as the core and enables students to full development in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic aspects. It ensures that knowledge, ability, quality is developed coordinately. Taking the basic principles of strengthening the foundation, combining software and hardware, being based on the system, facing to applications, and strengthening the practice, computer science theory, computer hardware and computer software technology form the three main academic building and main courses. The major aims to enhance the training of engineering practice and enable students to master the system, theoretical computer science, computer hardware / software systems and application of knowledge with domain analysis, problem-solving abilities and strong engineering practice.



  2. Basic Requirements of Graduates

    The students should have solid basics of science and engineering, understand the basic knowledge of economic management, humanities and social sciences and related disciplines. The students should have the good ability of foreign language and master professional knowledge and practical skills, can design enterprise application systems and manage the enterprise. The students should have the potential to meet the needs of social development and can adapt to scientific research, product development, engineering, teaching and business management or further education qualification.



  3. Expected Attributes of Graduates

    1. The requirements of knowledge structure: instrumental knowledge (language, literature search, technical writing, etc.), knowledge of humanities and social sciences (literature, philosophy, political science, sociology, law, moral, ethical, etc.), natural sciences (mathematics, physics, etc.), economic management knowledge (economics, management, etc.), expertise (discrete mathematics, data structures based on program design, analog and digital logic circuits, computer organization and architecture, interface technology, operating systems and compiler theory; software engineering, database theory and technology, computer networks, artificial intelligence, computer architecture, etc.);

    2. The requirements of ability structure: ability to acquire knowledge (self-learning ability, the ability to access to information and presentation skills, etc.), ability to apply knowledge (system-level cognitive ability, theory and practice ability, ability to master the top-down and bottom-up analysis of the problems approach, not only grasp the details of the system at all levels, but also understanding the overall system; not only master the discipline of basic theoretical knowledge, but also the use of theory to guide practice), innovation (creative thinking, innovation and experimental capabilities, technology development ability, scientific research capacity and new knowledge, new technology acumen);

    3. The requirements of the quality structure: the ideological and moral qualities(love the motherland and establish a scientific world outlook and values; with a sense of responsibility and social responsibility; with legal awareness; love this profession, pay attention to professional ethics; with a sense of integrity and teamwork) , and cultural qualities (with a certain literary and artistic accomplishment, interpersonal communication training and modern consciousness), physical quality (with better physical and psychological), professional quality (master scientific way of thinking and research methods, with innovative and realistic rigorous scientific literacy, with some projects and awareness of efficiency).

      Analog and digital logic (including electronic technology experiment), discrete structures, program design and language, basic data structures, signals and systems, computer organization and architecture

  10. Credits and Grade-Point Average Requirements

    In adherence to the Regulations of The Southeast University for Credits Arrangement and Bachelor Degree Award, students qualify for graduation after obtaining a minimum of 150 credits and satisfying other relevant administrative conditions. They will be conferred the Degree of Bachelor in Engineering if they further satisfy all other University requirements.
